I haven´t seen anything like the stuff I usually listen to around on any chan music board. But it is definitely comfy, so I figured I'd link some of it here.

Lino Capra Vaccina — Antico Adagio
Alois Hába - Quartet for Four Bassoons
Satoshi Ashikawa - Still Park Ensemble
Koto Vortex I: Works By Hiroshi Yoshimura
Kimio Eto - Koto Music
Ben Johnston - String Quartet No. 10: Brisk, intent

Hope somebody likes it, and any tips on something good in a similiar vein would be mightily appreciated!

Really enjoying Still Park Ensemble.

I don't really know much about chamber music, but I wonder if you might enjoy some solo piano in Mussorgsky's Pictures at an Exhibition.

That one reminds me of one of the first pieces introduction piece, where it is instead played on guitar, I'll look it up for you.

The quality (both audio and video) is potato, but the notework being done is aweinspiring.

I'm back, with some more tunes.

Ivan Wyschnegradsky: Méditation sur 2 Thèmes de la Journée de l'Existence
Charles Ives: Three Quarter-Tone pieces
Ugo Amendola: Quartetto per Archi (1947)
Fred Frith - No Birds (1974)
Rachel's - Music for Egon Schiele

Any roll here into this genre? Recently got into it and I'm looking for suggestions

But here we go to make this into something.

You're doing it wrong if you're not listening to this every single time.

Beats and trip-hop thread!

Nujabes and Uyama Hiroto are musts, as are Emancipator and Flying Lotus.

But more than artists, if you know of channels that post dank beats on a regular basis, post them here! I have a few that I've found:
https://www.youtube.com/user/timbeluski [not active but has some good stuff]

Here's the song that probably first got me into the world of beats.

>lo-fi hip hop is the future
It's the present actually. It's gaining popularity really quickly.

oh yes, this is gud!

Depeche Mode just feels great to listen to when I'm alone late at night. Their songs just feels so relaxing and the vocals are soothing and mesmerizing.

What Groups/Band/Musicians can you always listen to no matter what, Sushis?

Depeche Mode is great, especially at night!

My taste in music is pretty widespread, so Ulver might be it for me. Their genre changes with almost every new release while still keeping up high quality arrangements, a remarkable style and intense emotions.

For me that band is The Magnetic Fields. I started listen to them in high school and now I listen to them from time to time.

The album "Time" by Electric Light Orchestra never lets me down. In addition I can finally talk about music with my father.

For me it's The Antlers. When I can I like to sing along; sometimes, I'll close my eyes and pretend that I can sing as well as Peter Silberman.

Are you midwest, or west-west and can you do a cowboy accent?

I just got into Depeche Mode this year.. so good, where were these guys during my edgy goth revival phase.

Can we have some pumping music? I feel super motivated by new retro wave.

Post your power tunes!

Exactly! I like my workouts to be very dramatic, like fighting an epic battle. With the right music, this becomes so much more fun and intriguing.

TTGL OST - Is it okay to burn with passion

Kinda surprised we don't have a plain old genre-agnostic favorite songs thread yet. Post those tunes (or albums) you really enjoyed or found meaning in, that never left you.

ok I bothered to put links to the less popular musics, but they're not necessarily representative of the rest of the authors' works

I gotta say /tunes/, the Weeknd's new album is pretty freaking good. As someone who loves Daft Punk I loved their collabs in there too.

What do you think?

Guy sounds too much of a whiner, I can't bump to this.

I liked it, too. And I'm with you on the Daft Punk collabs. They're both pretty damn good.

I gotta agree, once you listen to the lyrics it does kind of get annoying with the whole 'muh love' thing.

Do any of you sushis listen to podcasts?

A few years back, I would listen to some longer podcasts every now and then, but for some reason (mostly missing time, I guess), I stopped.

Now I kinda want to get back into it, but most podcasts are somewhat long and it's hard to find something that's interesting enough to keep me listening for an hour or more.

So, what do you like to listen to, sushis?

Their YouTube channel is pretty atrocious but the yogpod was a really comfy podcast, and had a nice mix of funny, relaxing and interesting content that works quite well I think.

Another one I liked a lot was Wisenheimers which has since ended. Two internet animators talking about stupid shit.
