Hello everyone! I'm starting an entirely new type of imageboard culture. It'd take me tons of replies to explain it, so I'll just link it here.
You can find my board (soon-to-be network of boards) here:https://endchan.xyz/nuchannel/
Alternatively, If you prefer Tor access, you may access the site here:http://s6424n4x4bsmqs27.onion/nuchannel/
Refer to >>>/yakuza/310
The admin will share the link if he thinks he wants more users. I'd leave it at that.
Can I post my Skype username?
I'd like to invite cool people to a cool group
/Hell/ looks ded and spooky
It's just russians in there, but it looks so cool.
Oh right, it's that place that requires login and has some cp.
I'm strongly advicing deleting this if it's still up there. At least in the context of my local law, creating a login here would be illegal and punishable because the requirement for a login removes the possibility of accidental viewing.
Piper here. I run a small-ish discord (user limit is 50 people) and it would be interesting to see new members join the fray! We try to foster a smaller, more close-knit community through stuff like rabbit streams, birthday celebrations, and the ability to pick the color of your screen name. The server currently gets updates and upgrades all the time!
Typically, I invite each new recruit to this server through private dm's (where the invite link is not open for long), but since this place is a cozy and low-traffic Chan, I'm willing to take a chance and leave an open invite here.https://discord.gg/YXQ9tMv
Anyway, hope to see you soon!
Note: This server is intended to be a place for making friends and forming meaningful bonds. Shitposting is definitely welcomed but not encouraged in excess - quality posts tend to equal a quality server.
sounds comfy, what sort of interests is this group generally centered around? videogames? technology? general friendship?
Yeah, general friendship and bonds. You can talk about anything you want, really.
The server goes from being quite active all day to being dead all day. There's a decent balance of activity and inactivity. We usually have a lot of good interactions all the way through though.
The people who have joined from here so far are really cool. Two have been offline the entire time though, the other two have been active and are turning out to be great people, I think lol
nice to see this is still going
I visited there a few times when it was still an IP address.
The whole software project was born in our local sushigirl irc.
I joined this server from sushi a month ago and can confirm it's very comfy and friendly. It's a smaller group, but it's really easy to meet people and make friends.
Seconded. Super welcoming bunch.
seems cool, sshchan type things are sweet.
Any comfy Telegram groups around? Maybe anyone interested in starting a new one?
This server was made specifically for clowns and mimes and juggalos, but I don't really know where to find any other than myself so we just have two members…
W-we have bots and shit.
And a clown porn channel.
P-please stop by.
Does anyone know of any general comfy or mental illness support communities that are on encrypted, preferably FOSS communication platforms? I've been looking for groups like this but everything seems to be on discord.
Noble heroes, pretentious speeches and lofty goals. Ugh! Tired!
Well, really, how much can you save the world and sow the reasonable, good, eternal?
Again and again we free the fairy kingdoms from the power of tyrants, stop the terrorists and wipe out the armies of darkness.
How much energy we spent on restoring balance and justice, and as a result, the princess is still in another castle.
Enough tolerating this! Pretty boring good and ephemeral morality!
It's time to release the internal demons for a walk and listen to the voices in your head.
For those who secretly rehearse a sinister laugh and dream of world domination, we will give it to you, but what are YOU ready to offer in return?https://depreschan.ovh/int/
Sorry for my spam, please visit us.
Also sorry for my bad english (google.translate)
I invite you sushi rolls to join the development of the hypertext adventure Miskatonic Valley. http://hole.miskatonic.ml
I am awaiting your questions and opinions here ITT or in our /e/ or /m/. https://m-ch.ml/e/
Miskatonic Valley is a world where the last remnants of twentieth century’s technology coexist with medieval-level society. The place where lucky travelers might find the traces of long-gone civilizations and magic, the hidden secrets and an opportunity to tell the story of their adventures.
We draw our inspiration from such games as Blood, Fallout and Silent Hill as well as Dark Tower and Evil Dead series.
This is a developing project – you can participate to create your own site representing location of its world. You can also cooperate with others to make your quests and stories more adventurous and complex.
The technology behind the project is simple: it utilizes hyperlinks and static html pages to create bigger sites users can explore. There is a system of codes which represent various items and pieces of information you need to complete quests and execute certain actions. You can use any text editor you like to save codes for further usage.
This looks like fun!
Why don't you come join us then? Or at least leave some more feedback?
might be cool to add this to the first pagehttps://my.mixtape.moe/fmrxqq.flac
it's a track called '1st hole' from the silent hill 2 ost.
Nah. Autoplay music is always bad manners.
I was thinking it might just play when you click 'Jump in' before advancing to the next page, not automatically.
Well, maybe it's worth to try if I'll manage to compress the file to acceptable size. Actually, we wanted to add some soundtrack long ago.
The main problem is implementation. We want to keep the adventure simple, with minimum JS and no server-side scripts. It's kinda a part of the idea.
this is really nice, I like it
Wahhhh. This is so cozy but I'm afraid to post on such a pretty board. I think ill just watch for now but good link.
comfy mbti server https://discord.gg/pHFgkp
a lot of different channels for different interests, really friendly community and activities between members (working out, drawing, or gaming. )
All of these communities are very cool, I love each and every one of you. Especially I think that einchan is really cool (>>1963)
I wrote / run this textboard:https://ral.space/
It's fun + active, you should check it out! In addition I work with some other communities you can see at:https://prettyboytellem.com/
This already expired :^(
故郷. A server with the intention where everyone can be comfortable. If you're looking for a server to shitpost and meme, this is not the place. There's nothing wrong with those, but here we're trying to foster an environment without it. A place that's quiet, understanding and open is desired.
Everyone here has a diverse variety of interests and hopefully you'll be able to contribute with your own.
Things from creative writing, music to weeb stuff, illustration and much more.
This server was initially just a small place for a close-knit group of friends, but now we plan on expanding and advertising.
Most of us are in our early to mid 20s and older, but anyone is welcome.https://discord.gg/PKErzyP
For the love of god please send a new invite
A pretty cool new board just opened at https://bus-stop.tk/
Only a few posters so far, but it has a lot of potential for comfy.
heyo we have a server
pls join https://discord.gg/HUX63uF
Posting this in case anyone from the world4ch/progrider doesn't know:
Progrider was the biggest western textboard during its time, but shutdown around a year ago because the admin didn't want to pay for and run the site anymore. After it was shutdown, the admin posted a database dump of the site, and someone created a new textboard that had all of progrider's posts right here https://freesoftwarefoundation.org/
They also host an archive of world4ch's posts, which is nice.
invite link seems to be dead
could any of you give the anime board on mewch a chance? its been doing incredibly lackluster in terms of activity.https://mewch.net/a/
if you're looking for a comfy, chatty community check out our discord:https://discord.gg/u6bggYt
we strive to be as comfy as possible, and we are looking for people who wish to make friends, and have a great, mellow experience
This honestly looks sad.
I agree but didn't want to say anything and be rude. Now that you mention it though, the site looks like a poorly moderated mess.
doubt you'll see this but I loved coming to your site for ambient music late at night so much I ripped the mp3s from youtube and recorded them to a cassette tape that I use for late night music
thanks for making such a surreal and cosy place on the internet
t-thanks so much,I'm glad you appreciate it…
A friend of mine runs a daily movie streaming site that is really cool and I thought you guys would be interestedhttp://comfytheatre.co.uk/
Right now we're gearing up for our annual big E3 stream so I figured I might as well post that link as well http://comfytheatre.co.uk/streams/e3/
as well as our E3 discord we're using temporarilyhttps://discordapp.com/invite/4pJRGNT
my chatty discord community for finding friendshttps://discord.gg/bZQySqy

I should really watch Yokohama Kaidashi Kikō.
Do you have a mim tim? (Meme Team/ Mime Time)?
I tried to post but got this

repeatedly plus something else, i didn't printscreen, though (i got this text from the "manage" section). Also>The board is in constant developmente, please do not bully me.
You mistyped development.
Is the tina+number is by design?
It is a cool idea.
In the end my post (No. 4) came through.
Tfw 4taba has been down for 4 days
All the discord links in the thread, any new ones?
Is einchan down? I can't access it.
>>4275>Einchan.god.jp is no longer available, so we have been forced to move to firstname.lastname@example.org.
From the git.
Ah, thanks sushi. I should've noticed that myself.
Tina do you want to explain why your site is suspended?
My SSL certificate has expired and I can't afford a new one
have you looked at letsEncrypt? I use it for my site and it was free and super easy to set up
Thanks for letting me know about this :)
Your site is very cute and lovely btw <3
Have a nice day
Cool site sushi, I had one a lot like it at yourwaifuaslut.tk. Alas, years of neglect have done it no favours.
I was going to resurrect a page kind of like the one you posted, but to my surprise there was already a working one.https://ywas.ga/sushicats.html
It's big, browser crashingly big. I can't remember why I made it, but enjoy anyway!
Also, I didn't realise Tsukichan was back. Thanks for the link!
>>4368>It's big, browser crashingly big.
You weren't joking. I think it is mostly bad browser designs that is the issue here. CPU and memory usage isn't even that high. Resource usage is just a few % on my system, but Firefox is still sluggish.
r/a/dio has a fairly comfy spinoff site https://meguca.org/a/
I think the site started allowing board creation and some nazis swarmed in, but the /a/ board was comfy last time I went there.
Hi, this is my serverhttps://discord.gg/yGymNpa
it is very small, but we try to be welcoming to what few people might drift in. We don't have much of a culture and just kinda randomly talk about bullshit.
help we need more posts… 64ch.net thank you friends
You should try to fix your openssl configuration.
Shared my site on Uboa, but since I brought it back again and breathed new life into it, I'll do it here too…https://keychan.cf/
I threw up a custom CSS, Uploading WebMs are having some issues though because of exec() being disabled by host. Anyway, I would like to try and do better than last time. Just avoid posting halfchan-tier memes, illegal content, or straight up spam.
Would you please STOP dropping expiring invites????? It's annoying as hell and gets people's hopes up.
I dunno but how STUPID must a person be to not read that on the top of the thread and figure out how permanent invites work????
I heard this is the place to advertise?
I'll keep it short: Commutes is a social network based on one idea, there should be no admins on community groups. The website has a democratic system in which your power depends upon your activity on site.
It's very small right now, but we're very welcoming.http://commutes.ga
I built a file-sharing booru type site from scratchhttp://heyuri.cf/
pls use it I'm lonely ;-;
konatachan.org is revived
Is there a discord invitation to a channel with random topics that accept people who speak broken english?
I put together a GNU Social instance this afternoon; if you've never tried it out, my instance is open-registration… I'm going to use it to write down / record all the little thoughts I have during the day, maybe it'd be cool if we could all share something like that!
It's called the Pretty Boy Social Club because that's my handle: actually everyone is welcome / encouraged to check it out! It's at:https://soc.prettyboytellem.com/
I'm running a lot of services out of my apartment: an IRC server, mumble server, a textboard, an imageboard (for my uni), and my personal site ( same as in >>3101
)… and because I just noticed, note that RAL moved from the original URL to:https://ralee.org
I always make sure that the services I run stick around for a while; I hate to see things disappear…
I hope places like this stick around for another good long while~
Hey Prettyboy, I love RAL and the general aesthetic of your sites! Keep up the good work
Greetings from Depreschan.
Come visit us, if you'd like.https://depreschan.ovh/int/
this is a nice comfy server for chatting and shitposting, we're always open to new members and we hope you will enjoy it https://discord.gg/cEbs3wD
This is a server for discussing creative writing, game development, 3d modeling, art and any other creative activity.https://discord.gg/cAbbYWW
The server is slow, but it gets alive from time to time. Just post a question that bugs your mind or post about a project you are working on, and the server will blossom like a desert after a rainstorm.
having to interview though…
Imagine coming to imageboards of all places to draw a community then demanding interviews.
It's a little less than that, here, this is a simple explanation:
rune williamsYesterday at 1:49 PM
reminder that intros are actually really easy its just like introducing yourself in elementary school or some shit just like a sentence or two about yourself
So all you have to do is remember how a 5-year-old would introduce himself to class and you'll be fine.>inb4 an elementary school student is more capable of communication than you grown men
>>5423>reminder that intros are actually really easy its just like introducing yourself in elementary school or some shit just like a sentence or two about yourself
First day in school was worst day in school.
Just sitting there, nervous as hell, waiting for your turn to say something about yourself. I never knew what to say.
I prefer sites and communities where I can lurk freely, and just randomly join the conversation whenever I feel like I have something suitable to say. "say something about your self" makes it less likely for someone like me to join I think.
Or maybe you're just a socially inept autist who even gets nervous making discord intros(USER WAS BANNED FOR THIS POST)
Why would I ever bother with introducing myself. Sites with intro or interview requirements tend to be pretty horrible. I avoid them whenever possible. Those sites might be fun for some people, but not for me.
I rather do what I usually do, which is to lurk for a while, until I feel comfortable enough to make a post.
I sure am inept when dealing with social interaction, but I am this way out of preference. I don't enjoy communities where the first thing you must do is present yourself on a stage, so aptitude in such situations is not important to me.
"Let's go around and tell the class two truths and a lie!"
Im with this sushi roll. Any site/service that has you 'intro' yourself are often the kinds of places where you can find shitloads of drama and cliques that are keen on a witch-hunt every week.
sushi rollymous lurking is comfy, sushi.
Shouldn't lurking be encouraged for the sake of the community? I'm not telling you how to run your own server, but it seems like you'll constantly be bombarded with trolls and newcomers. Typical board etiquette asks that newcomers spend some time watching new posts and learning the culture before posting. Lurking. If you require users to post before entering, how should they know the culture of the community? How will they even know if they'll like the server? It all seems to go against the culture of the community.
The death of board culture should be expected, just like the death of freedom. That’s the future.
Are you guys all high right now or something? Way to make a mountain out of an mole-hill.
This is all just about a single innocuous sentence.
We've never had cliques and have NEVER had drama in this server precisely because we have this #intros channel that keeps egotists out.
By writing an intro, you are putting some personal agency/identity into the server which locks out the ability to shitpost as an ego-mask or to silently snipe at people sushi rollymously. It actually reduces drama - you would know this if you compared our server to most others.
I don't understand why this protocal becomes such an ethical concern in a chilean hopscotch arena.
If you paid attention to board culture anyway, you'd realize that sushi rollymity breeds negativity and tribalism anyway. I love our board cultures, but to deny that 4chan and its offspring have progressively become more spiteful and uncomfy is a fallacy.>>5434
No need to be rude. You're just going to upset people into not changing their stance.
the website is down now, is there anyway you can share the music that was on there?
lol im in a server with the boxxy dude. he's pretty chill.
Hehe that's me. I was actually feeling down the last few days and that gave me a real boost, even tho I don't chat much, thanks dude!
Yeah he's chill in VCs when a girl is present.
Reading through the last replies in this thread, I really don't want to join a discord server full of argumentative, hostile people who like to invent drama. Yikes. Really bad first impressions.
We don't have any drama at all in our server. People who create drama seem to fail getting through intros channel or are the kinds who don't like to make intros.
It's weird to come up with a lot of specific rules, establish a hierarchy/clique to try and have control over people in a community of peers, and then act like other people are the problem. Have fun on your discord server, I'll look elsewhere.
>>5467>We hope to create a calm, informal setting for chatting
and yet you're calling people on an sushi rollymous board autists for being uncomfortable with the fact that you have to intro. not just that, but you're putting people into a box with this asinine "good intro =] bad intro =[" hooey.
i'd suggest being a little more receptive to people than calling them autists and patronizing them
Stop bullying me ;-; why are you guys so mean? I thought this was a comfy board. ._.
I just want them to write a single sentence about themselves, then they never have to again.
is not the person who posted the community in question. It's some rando who showed up to fan the flames and has never made any other posts. You're yelling at the wrong guy.
There is really nothing wrong with asking people to make an intro before joining their community. If it makes you uncomfortable then you're not the target audience, so just leave it be. This thread is for posting chats and communities. Spin-off critical conversations like this are very unsightly and not comfy at all, and not what the thread is for.
Let's please chill and move on to something else.
an all girl liveboard with a small community looking for new peoplehttps://chen2.org/tt/138550
trannies don't count as women(Fascinating.)
sushichan says trans rights
on a more related note, https://postbox.garden/
has had some new posts recently, I would encourage all of you to check it out!
here is a website with a list of textboards http://txtchan.org/
and also creamy's list of imageboardshttps://hastebin.com/raw/ijuzolazeb
Hi everyone, just bumping my server >>3704
Cafe Alpha (formerly Wide World). We've been going strong for ten months now with minimal drama! We still do regular streams and have a minecraft server too. All that is required to get in is to write a short sentence about yourself once joining- something casual works.
We'd love to see you there!https://discord.gg/XVnTdEa
It has an anime/manga board and a japanese/otaku hobby board.
WakaBB is an sushi rollymous discussion board that covers multiple hobbies and topics.
It uses a traditional forum interface, but it's sushi rollymous no accounts etc.http://wakabb.net/
Here's a nice little website just getting it's start that needs some more visitors.
It has a very comfy atmosphere, more a textboard but more changes are coming, there is an imageboard section as well where you can post around on. The owner is very open to any suggestions and will listen to every post accordingly. I believe it can become a nice small community given the chance it deserves.
Pretty small server made by me and some friends who operate as a pretend sudo organization. We have a YouTube channel, several social media, and are in game development but we're mostly just larping losers that message very little. Maybe more members would be cool, idk. https://discord.gg/bByqWxC
it's back up!
Small general hang out, like it small and cozy
A server with the intention where everyone can be comfortable. If you're looking for a server to shitpost and meme, this is not the place. There's nothing wrong with those, but here we're trying to foster an environment without it.
Sometimes everyone has a lot on their plate and a place that's quiet, understanding and open is desired.
Everyone here has a diverse variety of interests and hopefully you'll be able to contribute with your own.
Things from creative writing, black metal, noise to weeb stuff, illustration and much more.https://discord.gg/TEadDVh
A liveboard for people to post intellectually satisfying content. I'll repost the guideline from the main thread:>Post interesting material here, whether it be long-form articles, scientific papers, or whatever thing makes you go "huh, neato".
Elaborating on a subject is fine too, if you want to spread the word about something you know a lot about!
Does that server have a disdain for right wingers? You do know purity is a conservative concept, right?
Nice, disliking a guy who compares himself with ISIS is an anti right-wing bias. No wonder all the media is liberal
please don't be snarky in your response sushi, I genuinely come with concern.
It seems like a mockery in my eyes, even though the discord is about purity which again is a right wing and surprisingly an islamic concept.
If you're going to attack one side at least attack the other side yknow? Cannibal Island is real.
They’ve mentioned it was fine with /pol/ types but I think the fact it’s fucking discord should be reason enough not to use it. If you want to give another type of protocol a try use IRC or dial up a BBS. Not everything needs to be a proprietary privacy invasive app.
I found this Chan today 64ch.net
this sounds too good, may want to post a new link? I really would love to join.
Wow, I really, really like the idea of this site!
omg i am so sorry i forgot to put the snekchan's link. here it be: https://discord.gg/6VxAc9u
what do you mean? there is no cow board there
It's linked to on the board list.
Wholesome server looking for kind people looking to make friends online.
(not really active atm, bc it is new)https://discord.gg/gtAD3z
that's a different site though
sushi roll.cafe willingly links to it on its list of boards. That it is a different site is just a techicality.
The board list automatically links to a few other imageboards. So that /cow/ is linked on the board list is a technicality.
Stop this embarrassing damage control already.
What's wrong with /cow/?
Let's not turn the thread even uncomfier.
You need a chill pill, my guy.
Nobody's defending lolcows here though.
There was literally nobody defending it. Excuse you.
Could you point to any pro-cow posts ITT? Because I'm not seeing them.
Could you [REDACTED] back to whatever [REDACTED] you came from?(USER WAS BANNED FOR THIS POST AND OTHERS LIKE IT WHICH WERE DELETED)
Whatever happened to Meguca? Haven't checked it in a while but am lost as to why it is currently down.
The community is over at megu.ca now.
The guy that tried to shoot up a synagogue in Halle, Germany posted his manifesto and stream link on their /pol/ board. It attracted a lot of unwanted media attention and admin shut it down.
I'm so confused. What compels anyone to post?
The only reason I am posting right now is because I want to understand why you even want online communities. You will just feel more alone afterward.
online communities exist so you can chat and talk with a group of others who probably have similar interests or hobbies and so you don't feel like a lonely sod. There is nothing more to it.
but feeling more alone after? that depends. you might come across a community/group you enjoy being apart of and feel far from lonely, might even make a few good friends you regularly talk to. yes its not the same as an irl friendship but it sure is better than nothing. Then again, you might also never find such place and feel like you don't fit in anywhere making you feel more lonely.
you may as well ask what compels anyone to socialise? humans by nature are social animals, so online groups easily and quickly satisfy the often missing social desires
Thanks for posting my dead website.
luv ya work, sushi roll
is this the discord with linkuu, rask, erf, and others?
Well I intended to invite sushi to sama but it appears it has been done already. In any case since I linked to it earlier let me reinstate the invitation to everyone. Ehem.
If you like anime, manga, doramas, 2hus, language, history or anything Japan oriented be sure to visit samachan, which although a bit on the slow side still has enough posts on a daily basis to make it worth it to visit everydayhttps://samachan.org/ don't be scared about the "advertisements", they're fake, if you don't believe me try clicking one and see what happens
hi. i just made a new discord server because i didn't find any comfy art servers that i liked.
the rules are:
-you can only post content you've made
-the content cannot be already on another social platform
-you cannot post anything in the server to another social platform
i want to fill up the server with art "games" like draw this in your style, and "save the princess with your drawing skills" and stuff like that. slowmode is enabled too (1 minute cooldown between posts), to promote longer posts rather than a lot of small ones.https://discord.gg/tuSJ9rg
link is set to never expire.
Recently opened room for general chat/discussion and comfy times. Grab a bev, sit back and relax.
irc bridge is in the works but im lazy.
Hey sushi roll, you might want to update the discord link. I’d love to join snekchan!
Will we seriously get banned for saying stuff like this? I mean whatever they said "tranny" but is that really grounds for a ban?
Bigotry is uncomfortable, so yes. And given that the technology industry is filled with lots of transgender women, you're sure to have unknowingly interacted with at least a few.
If I understand correctly, there are now several spin-offs and fan-sites of this board alone. I really should look into it, but I fear it will have the 4chan demographic.
(same sushi roll)
I interactive with many knowingly online and for work. I know a good bit about them, but saying things as innocuous as "trannies don't count as real women" resulting in a ban is a little absurd
Don't be daft sushi
You know full well saying that is not innocuous, is insulting to them.
Live and let live
If someone is gonna advertise an "all girl board" (although I don't know why they did), then someone ought not to be banned for pointing out that trans women aren't what actually women, considering that would be pretty relevant to the post.
is a nice and comfy chan that is trying to be a home for 4channers who have enough of the california rollry of 4chan.
This is all in good jest but You just can't change your biological gender to another. If we look at it with clear unbias, the surgeries are really just cosmetic to conform the person with GD. I can dress as a monster and mimic one but ultimately that doesn't make me a monster.
>>7012>I can dress as a monster and mimic one but ultimately that doesn't make me a monster.
I beg to differ.
I understand why you feel this way, but please keep it to yourself. Setting the ideological aspect aside, sentiments that would make a portion of our userbase severely uncomfortable are by definition uncomfy and not appropriate for Sushichan. And as a nonbinary person with two transgender partners, I find this string of comments personally irritating as well. Please move on to something else.
This will be my final say on this matter because at the end of the day its all moot.
By telling me to keep it to myself, isn't that just making me uncomfortable by silencing my thoughts? This really just opens a box unto how a feeling and conveying a feeling is ultimately subjective. The fourth sentence seals it because it personally affects you.Thank you for understanding my view and I can see why you would feel this way.
On another imageboard, you may be correct. But on this imageboard, "silencing" things that cause conflict and discomfort is a necessary function to maintain its purpose. Even if being asked not to talk about a certain thing makes you uncomfortable, the point at the end of the day is that it's not being talked about and everyone else who would be made uncomfortable by that thing can come here without having to worry about it. The conversation was, ultimately, outside the scope of this board. I hope as a user here that you can understand that as well. I have to do what is necessary to make Sushichan comfy for the greatest number of people; it is by design more curated than other imageboards.
>>7015>This really just opens a box unto how a feeling and conveying a feeling is ultimately subjective
Nobody claimed otherwise, what a strange comment
What is the next big thing? plenty of big things going on at the moment I feel
I also use this site, it's good so please check it out.
Anyone knows a good Telegram group? I don't feel like using discord for a time.
have an updated link? would love to join.
Does anybody know what happened to lizchan?
hello can you please post an updated link, thanks
Looks like yet another Spacechan spinoff. Those sites always attract the same dozen posters with the same reposted memes, and usually go offline within a few weeks.
Is the IRC active? It's not really working for me aswell~~
There is a lot of idle times, but there are some good chats there sometimes. There is a certain someone there that is very good at breaking the ice.
I have a discord server you guys might like! https://discord.gg/n9TVCAD
We chat about basically anything! Everyone's pretty nice and we have channels for anime, advice, and video games. Come, introduce yourself, and get to know some cool people!
Hi frens! I recently spent all my quarantine free time working on a new little text/imageboard. It has several different boards for different topics and probably a bunch of typos mixed in. It is by no means finished, but almost feature complete I guess?
Anyways, if you want to check it out, here is a link. I can't guarantee that it will be up all the time or that this link wont change, so, if you care, make sure to save the IP (220.127.116.11) somewhere.https://failureforums.ddns.net/
Worked for a second but now it's down :(
Oh, I am really sorry about the downtime yesterday. Turned out I had the server-side VPN configured incorrectly, so it wouldn't reconnect upon loosing connection once (something that can happen if you live in a area with spotty internet). It should be online again, and I pushed some updates to the server.
pretty cool board. thanks for sharing!
Thanks for visiting too!
idk lol I just thought saying that sounded cool woops
Kind of hard for me to read. I'll give it a try though, thanks.
I added a few other themes, maybe they'll make it easier for you. At the moment it is down tho, I am currently in tech support hell.
I know we have an IRC, but could we get an official sushichan discord?
I was thinking of making a discord server with the same vibe as sushichan, would anyone be interested?
If a significant portion of the members are from sushichan, I could vibe with that.
Be careful what you wish for. Discord channels tend to siphon a lot of traffic away from their parent imageboard because the whole platform is designed around instant gratification. Many smaller imageboards have almost completely died over the last couple of years because their most active posters now spend all their time exchanging oneliners in the back room.
If a Discord server was to exist, it would have to have a slowmode to enforce the quality of communication.
Not to mention it's already splitting the userbase, i.e. 40% of the people would stay on the board itself, 20% on the IRC and the rest on the Discord.
Discord fulfils a different niche to imageboards/forums though. It wouldn't split the userbase at all.
At most it would compete with the IRC, but that could be a good thing given the advantages that discord has.
I used to be pretty active on the IRC and had some nice conversations there even though it didn't have much life.
Maybe that's true.
I imagine there might be some people who only hang out on the Lainchan IRC, for example, even without visiting the board itself.
If the IRC channel's to compete with Discord, wouldn't it be a better idea to just bridge the IRC channel to Discord? Just a thought.
create your own imageboardhttps://64ch.net/
that link died VERY fast
Nanochan is good, but not going to post a link
easy to find if you know where to look though
This guy deleted the board. /kind/ is at https://kind.moe/
link expired can you send another one?
This server is still alive and waiting for new members! If you like your comfy servers with a little shitposting, feel free to join us! https://discord.gg/cEbs3wD
>Chat/community/personal ads are no longer allowed on the rest of the site, except maybe on /hell/.
Does this imply a "personal contact share" thread would violate the rules, or is it strictly about making threads advertising something (e.g. a single person or a community)?
I created this place so people can share anything they want, mayb watch some movies together or show off your photography skills…
Hopefully it will turn out to be a nice place to talk…https://discord.gg/J29xctX
lizchan is back at the .top domain! Hope to see you former lizzies there.
We have 1 imageboard, 1 fileboard, 24/7 live radio, live movie streams (no schedule, kinda random, usually stream around 3-5 times a week and i do take requests), an IRC network, and are currently developing a small video hosting site.
I'm active in our IRC network on channel #main most of the day and that's where most of our *community* is, Feel free to drop by.

I made an imageboard! You can find it at https://rainychan.net
. I am very proud of it.
I have hunted you down across the Internet to call you an anus, so I hope you appreciate that.https://dis.4ct.org/lounge/
Made a board for vtuber fans! It's empty atm so please come and post about your favorite vtubers!
Checkout my cool 24/7 audio stream that I use to listen to my music OTG! https://fside.xyz/
It's "random shuffle" which is not always great - but it does mean I have something to listen to when I can't think of anything.
Is mewch still dead?
No offense but it's very ugly.
Old link died, here is the new one https://discord.gg/nAtBT3G9HK
Yes! We are still running and active after two years!

We are an 18+ server, NOT because we are a NSFW server but because we want mature and responsible patrons.
idk much about the board, but Heyuri (www.heyuri.net) might be what you're looking for
Here's a rule of theirs:
"The following content is not in line with site culture, and will be promptly deleted;
Wojack & Pepe or any variation thereof
*oomer memes (zoomer, boomer, coomer)
Buzzwords like "seethe", "cope", "dilate", "janny", and the like.

We're here for you.
Welcome to Dimension 7.
Come shitpost, my lord. https://dimension7.neocities.org/https://discord.gg/ZCQgnHAJt7
I know about one like that, it's chakai.org
How does that place even work? Is the entire board just general chat threads?
Anyone know of any good active PHP/classic style forums? I've tried finding some but they're hard to find.
Do you mean imageboards?
My newly created board. There aren't that many posts (yet). Feel free to come by and post whatever.https://8chan.moe/nra/
Does anyone know the imageboard with a /webcomics/ board? It had a sidebar but I don't know what software it was.
There was an abundance of boards but I don't know if you could make one yourself.
It seemed pretty dead, but I found a lot of good links like Delia and a story about a bottomless pit that they threw bodies down.
come visit us sometime
I know of a live imageboard, but it doesn't have the visible typing feature.
That is not a community or a chatgroup.
Has emotes, and a feature that'll show how many sushi rolls are online but none of the other features>kotchan
is the other altchan i know of but honestly i dont know if it has those features
Not the same mewch. Begone evil.
a small blog about me and my hobbies
come check it out and say Hihttps://t.me/overallenthusiasm
this server was made as an art experiment in a drug-fuelled haze by a tranny and hrt twink. most of the userbase consists of spiritualists & gnostics with no single unifying trait except server culture.
needless to say i'm eager to expand this community and try and create something unique, with good quality posting being an absolute necessity.https://discord.gg/jeeHVWDwWP
We're trying to grow our community. We keep chat "fairly" active and we vc pretty much every day. Come and chill with us
bored neet looking for chill people to chat with
any cool irc servers to join?
I feel much the same as you
At the very least I think there are many smaller imageboards like this one that are (mostly) free from the cancers you speak of. I can't offer you your dream community, and I especially can't help with the wife and kids part because I'm struggling with that myself too. But I can at least hope you'll take comfort knowing you're among some amount of like-minded people here.
>>13517>At the very least I think there are many smaller imageboards like this one that are (mostly) free from the cancers you speak of.
I try to seek them out but in the last few years I've run into these problems:>They're good for a few months but then attract attention from the usual suspects and get attacked>this leads to the site getting deplatformed or all the good users leaving because of things like pizza spam
I even ran one myself for awhile that lasted about 3 months before it went through this. I'll spare all the details but suffice to say it was pretty disheartening to go through. I know I was fair in administration. I just couldn't find good help and the constant attacks were simply more than I could control.
There are smaller ones that don't have this problem but it's mostly because they are for discussion of topics that don't draw these types of attacks. In the last 2-5 years certain topics have simply become impossible to discuss on the web without these organized attacks from well funded bad actors. I was even harassed IRL state actor over what some users posted even though it was legal and I followed every law I was required to (I consulted with a lawyer before I opened the website).
>I especially can't help with the wife and kids part because I'm struggling with that myself too.
I was thinking about this today and I realized something. Since I don't>use cell phones>prefer text/image content to videos
I miss out on just about everything that's happening on the web now. I am locked out of all big tech social media by default. Everything requires a phone number for 2FA and activation codes now. This is annoying because even some hardware I've been gifted can't be used unless I borrow someone's cell phone (AppleTV I got for xmas). I can't use instagram, twitter, discord, google services like youtube, and most of the others. Some might allow me to lurk without it for some "approved" content. But I'm excluded from contributing. Even an application like discord has this problem because all it takes is one bad mod to "lock" a chat room to make it useless to me. As I found out recently when I went searching for some info about a video game I was playing. All the information that used to be contained on a wiki+forum is now in some chat room that won't give me access because I don't have an account that's verified via txt message.
Ironically, I have to allow google's shit through my firewall to even contribute here. Please stop feeding google data. They only use it to censor and enslave us.
Its been already advertised in this thread but did you try 22chan?
lol go back to FemaleDatingStrategy
It's otterchat.net now.
A pretty quite forum for celebrity / internet drama. If you're interested in that kind of thing, this site is pretty cozy.
Just be sure to pick a username you've never used anywhere else on the internet.https://www.onionfarms.com/
Was there a reason this community spun off from kiwifarms or lolcow? I haven’t paid attention to that part of the internet in quite some time, so I’m just curious for the historical perspective. I remember seeing PULL shut down.
I largely feel the same way, and have considered setting up my own text board or something to get around the illegal image spam problem, but it just doesn't feel worth it. It's fatiguing, time consuming, and as you said, certain topics are pretty much suicide to include in any community nowadays for a variety of reasons. I feel like it's probably best to just contribute more to communities like this one rather than reinvent the wheel.
So many people that I know use discord, and despite agreeing that it's terrible, none of them are willing to migrate away due to the network effect. I've considered migrating back to IRC and XMPP, even though I know the communities are going to be way smaller. What is wrong with IRC these days?
>I feel like I wasted my life building websites in the late 90s/early 2000s. All of them are dead now. No one uses forums anymore.
This is always a strange problem to think about. Some would say that if you enjoyed it at the time, and formed good memories from what you did, then perhaps it was worth it. Others say that using online socialization as a surrogate for developing your social skills in meatspace could be a reason why you're struggling with interpersonal stuff now. Still others say that this depressive nostalgia about what "the internet has become" is partly a product of our inability to change with the times, or grow up and move to other hobbies/interests. One of the big draws/features of the imageboard was the ephemeral nature of it's content. Ironic how many of us very old chan users can't let things go.
>I can't tell if I'm just jaded or the entire world went to shit
It's no mystery that with our thoughts we make our world, and I've been chewing on this idea that the way we ravenously consume media about the things in the world we hate, has lead almost everyone to agree on one thing, which is that "things are getting shittier". I can go to any /tech/ board and convince myself that we're on the cusp of a brutal surveillance dystopia in under an hour, or I could go to any politics board and become convinced that my dragon of choice is about to eat the world. How much time do we spend scaring the shit out of ourselves or making ourselves depressed? The internet is definitely a different place than in '03, so then why do i spend so much more time on discord being irritated than on here? It's certainly vexing.
All that said, I know exactly how you feel, sushi roll. I've been using chans since 06 and I feel older and more out of touch with each passing year. That's just how it goes, I guess. Relishing the good parts of our youth without wallowing in nostalgia is a difficult balancing act.
P.S. XMPP here if anyone is interested: radicaldreamer[at]404.city. Suggest me some good MUCs
>>13738>Relishing the good parts of our youth without wallowing in nostalgia is a difficult balancing act.
Agreed and empathized. Xennials and a good chunk of early gen Y have hit their +30's now. I get the feeling that a lot of us invested time online because we struggled to fit in irl. Now that online culture has not only evaporated, it's also merged with the "irl" we didn't fit in with. On top of that a lot of what we used to consider niche is now very mainstream and profitable– personal example: moeshit plastered on cars in my neighborhood. The internet will continue to change, z and alpha may feel as displaced in larger numbers when their platforms die and wonder why they wasted so much time on, idk, twitter and tiktok the same way we feel about our forums and websites.
Appreciate the past and let go, friends. It's nice to have sushi rollymous places like this to check in on, see a post like one of yours and think "hey, that's cool / i vibe with that." Make this period in your life something to be nostalgic for later, worth remembering, not behind a screen feeling irritated. This is the best sentiment I can offer, sorry that it's pretty "touch some grass" but it's been (mostly) working for me.
This site is an ip logger and the owner apparently doxxes people on his other site. Beware

you sure did your research retard
Onionfarms has been run for years by an old man named Kenneth. It was pretty much dead for its entire life until a user on Kiwifarms troll reported another user to the FBI for an ironic post over a year ago, causing the reported user to be violently ejected from the site publicly after the FBI took it seriously. That user moved over to Onionfarms as a result and many followed since he was a particularly popular user.
