Hii, im calli, from Southern California and in my mid 20s.
My tastes are super varied, I like many different types of anime, music and games. Most times I prefer to be outside in nature either alone or with frens. Urbex/exploration and hiking are my fav things to do. They are very comfy.
I'm a fairly new lurker of this site, but I'm not new to chans. Happened to stumble upon this site one day from 8ch, have been here since.

I don't think many people other than teens would consider 24 to be "old".

In most places in the US you get an extra surcharge for renting cars until you're at least 25 because they consider you to be an irresponsible kid still. "middle aged" is typically considered around 40's.

At the moment I like Shunji Iwai films a lot. I listen to the soundtrack for Love Letter all the time. I watched Sonny Boy this year and it is the best new thing I have seen in 2022. I need to start the new Tatami Galaxy, since I know Natsume Shingo is directing that as well. I have a lot of very bittersweet memories with Kaiba. People I miss dearly and used to know were big fans of the show, and I still have old Crocheted plushes of Warp and Chroniko that I had made initially as gifts, sitting on my bookshelf.

Felting,Crocheting, Ceramics, Sewing. I like thrifting and fashion. I don't like supporting corporate entities though, so I am pretty DIY and secondhand with most all of my purchases outside of supporting businesses and individuals I support. Kind of took this mindset to the extreme and even went vegan because the meat and dairy industry here is disgusting.

I study anthropology, so I go to archeological dig sites and do translation work sometimes. Love language, have been an active learner of Old English, Korean, and Japanese for a few years. Would like to visit Europe one day, since I have been to Japan and Korea in a professional and learning capacity already.

I like music a lot. I have been trying to get into DAW software. Play the guitar and own a few Korg and Moog synths. Hopeful that in 4-8 years or so I am confident enough to release music I am proud of. Have made efforts to talk to musicians I enjoy and befriend them. Surprisingly easy to have a penpal relationship with most experimental artists I meet through bandcamp.

Found sushi just now lol. Was going to commission a friend to make a figure for me. I was looking at Alien 9 figs and this forum popped up when I saw a cool Kumi figure. I liked the similarity of interests I saw here.

People who have likeminded interests. I just like talking about the things I do and love doing. I have plenty of friends, but when it comes to more niche music/film/animation, I don't have tooo many people to nerd out with. It would be fun to meet someone who I click with strongly. Plus, I like to actively make new friends! To the extent that maybe I have too many ㅠ.ㅠ

Monster Hunter is quite cool too. I like Jhen Mohran, he's so huge and gigantic. Fighting him was great. I just wish i could fight him with someone else as well, G-Rank is tuff.
I also like… Well, when I do have the time I like reading Manga. I tend to avoid stories that are sweet and happy go lucky for something more dark, but lately things that are too chuuni or grimdark are quite tough or just nonsensical to digest.

I like learning Japanese, even if it's a slight bit. I am studying programming, does job hunting count as a hobby?
I also live alone with my (sadly not so great) dad in our house. So there is times where I'd do the chores like cleaning and cooking and all that jazz I didn't do these years because my mother used to be there. I found myself sending audios more than text as of late because of that, sometimes I just can't put the effort of writing because of this.

Life is elusive, we can't really say what we want. One day it's one thing the other the other. Frankly, someone to just vent might be just ok.

But looking back, I think what I'd really like, would be someone to learn Nip with, and someone to stream games to. That is quite cool.

I enjoy baking sweets and breads, and also sewing. Those are my non-computer hobbies. On the computer, I enjoy watching movies with friends or playing small multiplayer games and chatting. I really enjoy hiking and am actively looking for sushis to hang out with in person.

Don't really watch much anime anymore but I've seen Cardcaptor Sakura & One Piece recently, they're pretty fun. I suppose my favorite animes of all time are Naruto, Claymore, Bleach, HxH, NGE, Akira, with NGE being my most favorite one. I used to play alot of osu! and I think that is my favorite game of all time. Some other games I've played alot and have enjoyed are: World of Warcraft, Starcraft II, Diablo 3, PoE, CS:S, CS 1.6, Factorio, Dark Souls franchise, Mount & Blade, AoE II, Touhou. I don't listen to alot of music anymore but I can enjoy just about anything. Some genres I usually listen to are breakcore, classical (Vivaldi being my fav), flamenco guitar, DnB, jungle, choir music.

I don't have alot of interests currently, but I do enjoy reading, making music, playing games, being in the nature/outdoors, fishing, watching movies, self improvement. I am probably a pretty boring person at the moment, since I don't do much on the daily right now, so don't expect too much from me in that way! I used to be a neet (for about 8 years) and I'm currently trying to put the pieces back together again that I had lost because of a multitude of things. Kind of rebuilding my life atm. I'm still at home most of the time, usually you can find me just sitting at the computer or lying in bed.

I used to visit this place alot a long time ago, I suppose it's been a couple of years since then. Not entirely sure how long exactly. I don't really recall either how I found this place, but it's my favorite imageboard and I probably came across it trying to find something comfy.

I am looking for long term friends. I am not into shallow friendships that don't last long and I am looking for someone to build something together with that will last. I don't really like having loose contacts, I really prefer to have something strong and reliable. I tend to put my focus in quality rather than quantity when it comes to friendships (I don't have alot of friends, and prefer a smaller contact list.)
