Change my shitty life
Move to Japan
I am nearing the end of my bachelors in CS, and I lost all my motivation to do anything really.
Grades are still good, and I still really enjoy programming, but the reality of it looks just different.
So much that is unnecessary, so much that is useless.
The feeling of just wanting something else permeates my thoughts , and maybe changing everything fundamentally may be a good Idea.
I know people say "running away from your "problems"" isn't anything you can really do, but I feel that they are wrong.
Or rather I just want to at least try. If there is a chance, I want to take it. Not ever having run away might be my actual problem!
The people here on sushi-chan can probably understand it.
After finishing my thesis, saving up money, and selling shit, I'll fly off with a one-way ticket.
Maybe teaching German for a while can keep me afloat until I know Japanese fluently enough that I can actually work somewhere in CS.
Anyway, I really wish for everyone here to have a really amazing next year.
If your life sucks currently, do everything to make it better. Don't listen to the people saying you can't do it, because you can.
It is always worth a try. The only thing you can lose is a few years. But I don't think you can weigh the experiences you can make in years.
If your life is awesome, do your best to keep it that way! I really wish you the best.
Sorry if my post is just an excuse for a shitty blog, but I just felt like I wanted to share what has been going through my head,
not only for you to read, but also for myself to take to heart.
Everything may read easily, but this will still be huge change for me; A huge jump into a kind of uncertainty I never had before in my life.
A kind of life I never have experienced before.
This is what I wish for my next year.

I should fap less as well, but as of now I'm just cutting down the coffee intake. One thing at a time.
No.95
>>94>I'm just cutting down the coffee intake. This too. So much this.
Drinking less coffee makes it easier to get to sleep most days, so I wake up the next day with energy that doesn't need to be supplemented by coffee in the first place. Coffee also gave me heart burn and extreme bursts of hunger, so that was all the more reason to cut back.
No.96
>>95I've realized I don't need coffee in the morning not so much because of bad sleep, but because I don't wire myself to think "I am sleepy thus I need coffee to wake".
I get the hunger bursts right after coffee too, even if I just ate somehting.
Another thing with coffee is that it doesn't really seem to have the effect it's supposed to. It doesn't really energize me, it hypes me, but I feel weak at the core, and I feel coffee is the source of such weakness. I used it as brain fuel, but again, it just fires up my (figurative) ADD and so I can't concentrate.
No.97

This may take some getting used to, but I'll try it out for a bit.

>"d" and "u" in stead of "ctr-d" and "ctr-u"This makes sense because ctrl-d creates a bookmark for the current page (a feature I often use).
>Close tab and go to tab right is missing. I don't know what undo close tab is, but it's not "u".In the default configuration, "x" should do that. "<count>X" restores the last <count> tabs (most commands take optional counts). "gX" lists all recently closed tabs in a menu.
>This may take some getting used to, but I'll try it out for a bit.If you don't like some bindings, you can rebind every little thing in the settings. VimFx quite configurable in that regard.
>What are the features that you like vimfx for? There are a few features that I use a lot (those might not be VimFx exclusive, though). It's mostly minor things.
In longer web pages it's useful to set marks with "m". I can also jump to previous positions with "g[" and "g]".
With "v" I can select and copy text without having to use my mouse (similar to visual mode). There are also several yank ("y") commands to copy pretty much anything.
"]" and "[" automatically pick up "next" and "previous" links, really useful when browsing websites with paginated content, and "af" is useful to open several links in the background while you're at it.
"ec" can be used to open the context menu. I use this with the "Save Image in Folder" add-on, "ec<hint>ii<return>" is all it takes for me to be able to select a folder to save an image to.
Thanks to the option to add my own commands in a javascript config file, I've added ",m" as a keybind to open the current page in mpv, ",y" for youtube-dl and ",i" to search for images on iqdb.
Those are just the first few non-obvious things that came to mind, I've probably missed a lot of stuff. But this post is already kind of long so I guess that's okay.
That being said, if you're already used to Vimperator, then there's no reason to switch, I guess. I prefer VimFx because it adds functionality on top of Firefox, instead of trying to change Firefox.

Vimperator was what I was using but it is buggy because of ui changes mostly.
One question though. Is there an extension that has similar function to the integrated search or bookmark auto complete? That is the only thing I can see missing from vimfx.
Also I was looking for this thread to ask you about vimfx for a few days after seeing it on kaitensushi because it was not in the boards/threads I would think it would be in. No hard feelings though.
