/otaku/ - Japan / Otaku / Anime

This might be Trigger's strongest work to date. They've successfully combined their zany and dynamic trademark animation style with some proper world-building and storytelling. I'm really enjoying it so far, going along with the TV releases every week.

I've seen the first episode. Whoever put the file up forgot to include the subtitle track so I didn't understand 99% of the words. Is it me or did the squirrel say I'm human at the end?

watched 5 a few days ago, I'm using Asenshi's subs so that takes a bit more time to release.

Ohh gotcha. I felt that was the weakest episode so far but I still liked it, especially Michiru's character growth and the old coach dude's backstory. What I didn't like as much was how filler it felt, which seems unneeded in an anime original, especially something this high-budget. I had trouble reconciling the literal bloodsports within the world they've created too.

BNA had a strong start, but I think the plot strained my disbelief and petered out near the end. I was hoping to explore more drama and character development around the main character but they had to bring the pink furry girl to rob her of her spotlight.

Yea, I would agree with this. Regardless, it's still Studio Trigger, so the show is a treat to the eyes, even for non-furries like myself. The writing and pacing could have been a lot better, but it's still a good casual show I'd recommend to people who are already interested.
