Oh look, someone else who's seen Wakfu! I really liked it, although I never got around to the 3rd season. You have good taste in anime as well, SSR is awesome. What's your favorite album called? I am curious.
Yeah, same… I was planning to do a complete rewatch, considering how Season 4 got its kickstarter fully funded and all.
For the album, it's Gainsbourg ni Aisarete, by Mariko Goto under the alias DJ510Mariko, AKA the lead singer for former band Midori. There's not a lot of track previews up online, but it's a really great punk/pop…? electronic album!
Between her raspy voice that never breaks even she's shouting at the top of her lungs, the super clean production, and the weird but unique mixing, there's so much about this oddball album that makes it lovable.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zxL95vTNSk4https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RoZ6Ru75A2c
>>8219>AKA the lead singer for former band Midori
Oh! You had me lost up until you mentioned the band, but I'll have to check them out now, I quite like Midori.
I really enjoyed the songs you posted, reminds me a little bit of Shinsei Kamattechan somehow.
On the internet, nobody knows you're a raccoon.>recommend me something sweet and cheap
Try some hard cider, it's tasty
>>8221>recommend me something sweet and cheap
Define cheap. Buying bottles of halfway decent alcohols, a shaker, and a few tiny measuring cups has a greater startup cost than walking into a bar, but the more you drink the more you save. Go to a restaurant store for the shakers and measuring cups of you can. I've never had the simple metal, friction fit top shakers leak on me. Bottle wise, just find recipes you like and buy as you go. Staples such as vodka and light rum you should buy in large bottles for the bulk discount.
Try a matador cocktail. It's 1.5oz tequila, .5oz lime juice, and 4oz of pineapple juice. Very sweet and cheap. If you have access to Costco they sell some really good pineapple juice in the fridge section that's hands down better than the Dole canned stuff. Their alcohols are really good for the price, so grab a bottle of their French vodka and silver tequila.
A Midori sour is a likely candidate for the Bad Touch from VA-11 Hall-A. I attached my favorite recipe for it, but I sub out the large rock for a bunch of ice cubes. Carton egg whites work well, try anywhere between .5oz and 1oz and see what you like.
Good idea, I've always wanted to try cider.>>8226
Huh, I was meaning something you can get in a bottle but actually mixing drinks and replicating recipies from Va11halla sounds fun. After I played it I wanted to become a bartender, but I think that's something you have to be not autistic for. Is alcahol okay by yourself? I thought of it as something to help make friends, drinking it alone sounds like it would just make me sad. Putting eggs in a drink sounds bizzare but I'll give it a go.
The comparison with Shinsei Kamattechan is apt, as they really are two opposite but similar bands: a matching indie, kinda dreamy aesthetic, but one prefers noisy, moody instrumentals that stay acoustic even if heavily filtered, while the other goes full-on with the drum machines and stuff. Both amazing acts!
Group_inou takes a hip hop approach to the matter, but they're also a lot alike.
There are quite a few I didn't have favorites for. I don't really watch tv, and I need to get into movies at some point.>>8202
Xavier Renegade Angel looks pretty sick from the clips I've seen of it. The location looks pretty nice, where is it?>>8204
Nice vehicle choice, that car looks incredibly nice.>>8215
I want to watch Girls Last Tour soon, it looks very calming. I played the Wakfu MMO many years ago and I've only ever seen the show mentioned. I can't remember much about the game so maybe that's why.>>8216
I also want to watch Haibane Renmei, I love the setting from what I've seen of it.>>8221
The Ficciones seem really interesting, what was your favorite story?
There is a difference between getting blackout wasted by yourself and mixing a drink or two to sip on. People I've met find it interesting when I bring up that I can make cocktails, most just don't want to spend the effort or time in getting tons of alcohols and gear (despite them being willing to pay $5+ a drink at a bar). But you suddenly become everyone's friend if you start making them drinks.
The egg white thing did gross me out, but for a Bad Touch it had to be done! I think it's supposed to be a texture thing, sort of like shaking pineapple juice, as it becomes a bit bubbley and with a foamy head like beer.
To be honest, I do skimp on stuff like juices and garnishes. Juices I'll just buy bottled, but occasionally I will pay for really good ones. A local grocer sells this bottled key lime juice that's really good and that Costco pineapple juice I mentioned. Garnishes I omit completely and I have yet to buy an ice mold for large "rocks." Glassware wise, places like Goodwill can have some really nice cups! You can also get free shit during the holidays as most alcohol brands start selling gift sets that are at the normal price, but come with some glassware, ice molds, or mixing ingredients. Jagermeister shot glasses are ridiculously nice with their thick, green glass and are marked for a proper shot.
For something in a can or bottle, you could go with a Smirnoff Ice or a canned alcoholic lemonade. Irish creams can be good in smaller quantities. The Costco brand has a chocolate milk/coffee-ish taste to it. Just stay away from premade margarita mix. It's cheap and horrible.
>>8235>The Ficciones seem really interesting, what was your favorite story?
It's hard to pick a favourite, they're all so different that it's hard to "dispose" of any. I guess the one I think about most is Tlon Uqbar Orbis Tertius, there are others I liked reading more though. Borges is cool, you should definitely give him a shot.>>8241
Thanks for all the advice sushi, I promise I'll put it to good use!
What is this datamining beast? I can't even think of one of those to fill out.
What instrument is that? Can you play it?
Yeah, I actually own one. It's a strumstick. It's like a mountain dulcimer, but easier to fret because the neck is skinnier. My baby hands are too small to play the guitar, so I play the strumstick instead.
Is this music video the GALO SENGEN people?
Not him but I tried making that Midori Sour recipe, it's really good. I've never been a cocktail person but I've been wanting to give some a try.
I've definitely never heard it before, so who knows why the pic is familiar. But the album in your original chart was a joy to listen to. Thanks for sharing!
Oh and I forgot to say, I liked how throughout the whole album they kept bringing back and building on the same little melody that starts in the first song/part. I always like things such as that.
naryt guy at my local convenience store plays them when hes on shift
awesome cartoon and movie, the quintana jesus film is coming soon
also debian is better>>8360

not so great movie
not so nice cartoon
Love Exposure is so good
Nice anime, nice gun, nice car, but jesus would never do those awful things to a lamb
Would hang out with you IRL>>8260
Probably would hang out with you, too, but silently judge your music taste.>>9012
Probably cool, too, but please shower before we hang out :P
I want to make one of these but I'm paranoid for no logical reason
Jesus porn is okay I guess. Kinda weird but I don't judge it IS kinda weird though
As soon as I saw Calvados, I knew.
So religion is a glorified waifu?
Any mixed drinks you like to make with it? I've found it's really good with ginger beer and in a Sidecar
Been wanting to get into mixed drinks more but the opportunity never comes so I've always drank my liquor neat. When it comes to Calvados though sometimes I add it in black tea with honey.
Though I've realized I never tried it as a highball using club soda, which is my go to for most liquors, so I'll try that soon.
Another Shoujo Shuumatsu Ryokou fan! Also, good taste in hentai. Kancolle DDs have delicious bodies.>>8216
Marcus Aurelius' Meditations looks like an interesting read. Should pick it back up. You ever read Benjamin Franklin's autobiography?>>8261
Vermin Supreme is underrated.>>8964
Artix is the best Arch derivative. Graphical installer, but no systemd. You ever try Slackware?>>8988
Sasha Grey looks really good blacked.
That's not Ame, Gura and Ina is it?
Not sure if this is bait…
Nice beer, album, game (DF, don't know that the new one is), and anime. They'd all be top contenders for me too.
Can you post the Haibane art you used for the newer one? It's cute and I don't have it.
>>10373>I don't recognise 90% of the stuff that everyone likes
For the cynic: that's the goal. Underneath the veneer, this favorites chart has always been a little game of vanity.
< Let's see how many people get this obscure thing I put here.
< Let's see if anyone asks me about this extremely personal thing that no one could possibly understand from the picture.
< Let's see if I can show off how "quirky" and cute/cool I am for liking things.
But it's not overt, since not many people really bother responding to others. You post and then gauge how cool you are based on everyone else's chart. Everyone reveals that they're basic/pleb/niwaka and then you feel better about yourself.
I don't really agree. For one I recognize most of what people have put in their chart aside from the politicians and the music, but that's just because my interests personally don't expand to those areas. And most importantly rather than the point being to prove some kind of vague superiority over other people, isn't it more likely that people just enjoy sharing their interests? Like you said, not many people are responding, but ideally it's just nice to know what you have in common with others on the site, and maybe find a new interesting thing yourself from others.
Extremely good taste in anime and Pokemon. Portishead is a pretty cool band too. What's the cartoon you listed about? looks neat.
Lastman! Its great, its a french cartoon - same director as the dye - fantasy short.
Extremely good taste in soft drinks. Kinoko Teikoku is a good band as well. What is the food you posted?
really really good except for swans i dont like swans very much sorry>>10341
again really good except for swans lol. conner omalley especially :)
Thank you. The food is fried dumplings. (Russian dumpligs to be more precise)
It's comforting to find other people not into alcohol. Internally I feel really ostracized at times.
This took a while to do but it was fun.
*Politician is Portugal's president. I speak Portuguese and he is quite an affable man.
>>11281>house of leaves
but did you burn it afterwards?
i use it as a monitor stand lmao. it'll slowly overheat perhaps
May I ask why you picked Switzerland as a location?
When thinking of a "location" immediately the Alps sprung to my mind. Beautiful all the way from the glamour of Côte d'Azur to the coziness of Vienna. Wealthy, clean, pleasing cities populated by nice, respectful people. Can't miss the hot spots such as Lake Como, St. Moritz and Innsbruck which beget the sort of vibes you get from iyashikei anime like 'Gochuumon wa Usagi desu ka?'.
Wanting to convey these feelings, and having lived in Nyon and Zurich for 11 months, I chose Switzerland. In hindsight it was quite a tall order since different people will have different interpretations and this is perhaps more than can be transmitted through a small image that most viewers will just glance over. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Thank you for the explenation. I assume you don't live in Switzerland anymore? Only 11 months was quite the short stay.
I really do miss Switzerland. It felt like you couldn't run out of amazing places to visit or things to do, all within a 3-4 hours drive. You needn't go far away anyway. Visiting a natural park was as refreshing as cycling between the lake and the foothills. The atmosphere was just more inspiring.
They say there's no place like home and I'll concede that there is no more peaceful and quiet place than my home country, but perhaps it's a bit too much?
The way I feel, Switzerland is great for the sort of more calm people who enjoy the finer things in life. I don't mean it like touring around in a Rolls-Royce Wraith whilst staying at 16th century château or villa hotels, but maybe you'd rather go out with a special someone for a cup of coffee in a nice place rather than a whole evening drinking beer with your "buds". None is more valid than the other, just better suits different personalities.
If you're planing a visit, yours sushi recommends pic related.
What is your home country? Portugal because you speak Portuguese?
I actually live in Switzerland but I know almost nothing about stuff to do and see, therefore I appreciate the tip. Do you have some others suggestions?
Also may I ask why you lived here for a short time?
A suggestion from another sushi living in Switzerland: float from Thun to Bern in an inflatable boat.
Or throw a dart at a map of Switzerland and go hiking there. Hard to go wrong that way.
I never thought I would meet another cheeseroll. On the Internet people from Switzerland are rare, besides national websites of course.
Based on your suggestion you are from canton Bern? I would be from Luzern. I guess hiking is the most obvious choice, I didn't do it since a child. Maybe I could try it again.
From Basel. Not swiss though, I moved here for work. Which is apparently the case for about half the people in this city.
I thought hiking was the national pasttime of this country? That and skiing. Though come to think of it only one of the swiss people I know seem particularly into it.
Otherwise I am quite bad at exploring this country. Havn't really seen the other cities, nor even that much of Basel.
I like your taste roll
MDE is funny, Lain and South Park are great and fun shows respectively, and Mikan is top sexy
I also watched a bit of Midnight Diner and quite liked it. k98 is a cool gun as well.
great to see another cultured individual I actually thought people are gonna crush me because I think Mikan is hot
Which kind of spider is that?>>9012
CMR04 is a legendary game. I used to play it all the time back then when I was just a kid. Up to this day I still think it's one of the best racing games ever made. Also, nice vehicle choice.
>>11361>Which kind of spider is that?
Jumping spider, don´t know which specific kind of. Used to be super spider phobic, but jumping spiders in general are super cute to the point I don´t mind them visiting my living space at all.
Name the food and anime, please. It looks great.
Not that sushi, but I'm pretty sure the anime is Nausicaä and the food is shakshuka
Am that sushi and can confirm that replysushi is right on both counts
Great choice of movie and book, both are very nostalgic to me
Please forgive me but your choice of porn paired with your choice of Pokemon really made me laugh
