>>8215Oh look, someone else who's seen Wakfu! I really liked it, although I never got around to the 3rd season. You have good taste in anime as well, SSR is awesome. What's your favorite album called? I am curious.
No.8219
>>8218Yeah, same… I was planning to do a complete rewatch, considering how Season 4 got its kickstarter fully funded and all.
For the album, it's Gainsbourg ni Aisarete, by Mariko Goto under the alias DJ510Mariko, AKA the lead singer for former band Midori. There's not a lot of track previews up online, but it's a really great punk/pop…? electronic album!
Between her raspy voice that never breaks even she's shouting at the top of her lungs, the super clean production, and the weird but unique mixing, there's so much about this oddball album that makes it lovable.

>>8219>AKA the lead singer for former band MidoriOh! You had me lost up until you mentioned the band, but I'll have to check them out now, I quite like Midori.
I really enjoyed the songs you posted, reminds me a little bit of Shinsei Kamattechan somehow.

>recommend me something sweet and cheapTry some hard cider, it's tasty
No.8226
>>8221>recommend me something sweet and cheapDefine cheap. Buying bottles of halfway decent alcohols, a shaker, and a few tiny measuring cups has a greater startup cost than walking into a bar, but the more you drink the more you save. Go to a restaurant store for the shakers and measuring cups of you can. I've never had the simple metal, friction fit top shakers leak on me. Bottle wise, just find recipes you like and buy as you go. Staples such as vodka and light rum you should buy in large bottles for the bulk discount.
Try a matador cocktail. It's 1.5oz tequila, .5oz lime juice, and 4oz of pineapple juice. Very sweet and cheap. If you have access to Costco they sell some really good pineapple juice in the fridge section that's hands down better than the Dole canned stuff. Their alcohols are really good for the price, so grab a bottle of their French vodka and silver tequila.
A Midori sour is a likely candidate for the Bad Touch from VA-11 Hall-A. I attached my favorite recipe for it, but I sub out the large rock for a bunch of ice cubes. Carton egg whites work well, try anywhere between .5oz and 1oz and see what you like.
No.8231
>>8222Good idea, I've always wanted to try cider.
>>8226Huh, I was meaning something you can get in a bottle but actually mixing drinks and replicating recipies from Va11halla sounds fun. After I played it I wanted to become a bartender, but I think that's something you have to be not autistic for. Is alcahol okay by yourself? I thought of it as something to help make friends, drinking it alone sounds like it would just make me sad. Putting eggs in a drink sounds bizzare but I'll give it a go.
No.8234
>>8220The comparison with Shinsei Kamattechan is apt, as they really are two opposite but similar bands: a matching indie, kinda dreamy aesthetic, but one prefers noisy, moody instrumentals that stay acoustic even if heavily filtered, while the other goes full-on with the drum machines and stuff. Both amazing acts!
Group_inou takes a hip hop approach to the matter, but they're also a lot alike.

>>8221The Ficciones seem really interesting, what was your favorite story?
No.8241
>>8231There is a difference between getting blackout wasted by yourself and mixing a drink or two to sip on. People I've met find it interesting when I bring up that I can make cocktails, most just don't want to spend the effort or time in getting tons of alcohols and gear (despite them being willing to pay $5+ a drink at a bar). But you suddenly become everyone's friend if you start making them drinks.
The egg white thing did gross me out, but for a Bad Touch it had to be done! I think it's supposed to be a texture thing, sort of like shaking pineapple juice, as it becomes a bit bubbley and with a foamy head like beer.
To be honest, I do skimp on stuff like juices and garnishes. Juices I'll just buy bottled, but occasionally I will pay for really good ones. A local grocer sells this bottled key lime juice that's really good and that Costco pineapple juice I mentioned. Garnishes I omit completely and I have yet to buy an ice mold for large "rocks." Glassware wise, places like Goodwill can have some really nice cups! You can also get free shit during the holidays as most alcohol brands start selling gift sets that are at the normal price, but come with some glassware, ice molds, or mixing ingredients. Jagermeister shot glasses are ridiculously nice with their thick, green glass and are marked for a proper shot.
For something in a can or bottle, you could go with a Smirnoff Ice or a canned alcoholic lemonade. Irish creams can be good in smaller quantities. The Costco brand has a chocolate milk/coffee-ish taste to it. Just stay away from premade margarita mix. It's cheap and horrible.
No.8254
>>8235>The Ficciones seem really interesting, what was your favorite story? It's hard to pick a favourite, they're all so different that it's hard to "dispose" of any. I guess the one I think about most is Tlon Uqbar Orbis Tertius, there are others I liked reading more though. Borges is cool, you should definitely give him a shot.

< Let's see if anyone asks me about this extremely personal thing that no one could possibly understand from the picture.
< Let's see if I can show off how "quirky" and cute/cool I am for liking things.
But it's not overt, since not many people really bother responding to others. You post and then gauge how cool you are based on everyone else's chart. Everyone reveals that they're basic/pleb/niwaka and then you feel better about yourself.
No.10377
>>10375I don't really agree. For one I recognize most of what people have put in their chart aside from the politicians and the music, but that's just because my interests personally don't expand to those areas. And most importantly rather than the point being to prove some kind of vague superiority over other people, isn't it more likely that people just enjoy sharing their interests? Like you said, not many people are responding, but ideally it's just nice to know what you have in common with others on the site, and maybe find a new interesting thing yourself from others.

No.11307
>>11303When thinking of a "location" immediately the Alps sprung to my mind. Beautiful all the way from the glamour of Côte d'Azur to the coziness of Vienna. Wealthy, clean, pleasing cities populated by nice, respectful people. Can't miss the hot spots such as Lake Como, St. Moritz and Innsbruck which beget the sort of vibes you get from iyashikei anime like 'Gochuumon wa Usagi desu ka?'.
Wanting to convey these feelings, and having lived in Nyon and Zurich for 11 months, I chose Switzerland. In hindsight it was quite a tall order since different people will have different interpretations and this is perhaps more than can be transmitted through a small image that most viewers will just glance over. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
No.11308
>>11307Thank you for the explenation. I assume you don't live in Switzerland anymore? Only 11 months was quite the short stay.
No.11314
>>11308Indeed.
I really do miss Switzerland. It felt like you couldn't run out of amazing places to visit or things to do, all within a 3-4 hours drive. You needn't go far away anyway. Visiting a natural park was as refreshing as cycling between the lake and the foothills. The atmosphere was just more inspiring.
They say there's no place like home and I'll concede that there is no more peaceful and quiet place than my home country, but perhaps it's a bit too much?
The way I feel, Switzerland is great for the sort of more calm people who enjoy the finer things in life. I don't mean it like touring around in a Rolls-Royce Wraith whilst staying at 16th century château or villa hotels, but maybe you'd rather go out with a special someone for a cup of coffee in a nice place rather than a whole evening drinking beer with your "buds". None is more valid than the other, just better suits different personalities.
If you're planing a visit, yours sushi recommends pic related.
