I used to eat duck at a Vietnamese restaurant. I forgot the details but it's really good. Also sweet and sour sauces are great.

What's your favorite candy, sushi?
Anonymous 07/08/20 (Wed) 07:22:20 No. 8058
There's a coconut, milk, and strawberry soft candy that I can buy at a corner store. It's not very sweet but is fruity and has the advantage of not making you sick even if you eat like forty of them.

My favourite candies are the sour ones.
Sometimes I wonder looking at those images if the artists are merely doing it as a hobby while doing their full time jobs or are getting something else from it. Those have a particular winter feeling that I can dig.

Who's your favourite deity sushi??
Anonymous 07/10/20 (Fri) 00:20:38 No. 8072
If we're talking from mythology then Nyx is really cool because she's technically the goddess of things unknown as well as night and is arguably the single most powerful entity in greek myth.
Who's your favorite historical ruler?
Anonymous 07/10/20 (Fri) 02:23:21 No. 8074
I just dig Caligula for the fact that he just laughed at his own mistakes? He was a terrible ruler, but he didn't just cry and feel sad about it, he actually celebrated what he was doing and I find that endearing.
What's your most remembered dream sushi?
Anonymous 07/10/20 (Fri) 03:11:30 No. 8075 >>8074
Here's the dream journal entry for my most remembered dream:
I was at an apartment with a friend and his girlfriend. We were all college students and he asked me to take part in an experiment. I was to set the vertical and horizontal directions of a telescope to a certain pair of numbers and call him if I saw the monster he was looking for. He would be in another room and his girlfriend was in an apartment in another block of the same building.
I set the coordinates, and the telescope pointed to a spot in the sky. I waited.
At some point it occurred to me that maybe the coordinates were wrong. I set the coordinates again, this time setting the horizontal number as the vertical value, and the vertical number as the horizontal value.
The telescope was now pointing towards a human hiding behind a rock. I zoomed in. The human was pointing a pair of binoculars towards my direction. I could see his eyes popping out of the binoculars, looking straight at me. I tried to scream, but it was not loud enough. I screamed again and woke up.

What is the most helpful non-fiction book you've ever read?
Anonymous 07/14/20 (Tue) 12:50:08 No. 8134 >>8129
Haven't read many books but for the few I did I think The Way of the Samurai/Hagakure is one of them.
Here are some teachings from Yamamoto Jin'Emon
>Perseverance can do anything >Keep even the roast chicken tied up (don't know what this means) >Don't stop spurring the horse that gallops >Those who critique openly are no traitors >A man lives a generation, but his name lasts until the end of time >Money is always found when you search for it >It's not so easy to find a good man >If you're walking with a real man, he'll tell you at least seven lies in a hundred steps >Asking what you already know is courtesy, asking what you don't know is an obligation >Wrap your intentions in pine needles (Don't know what this could mean either) >You shouldn't open your mouth much or yawn in front of people. Cover it with your sleeves or with a hand fan >The stray hat and the helmet should be carried inclined onwards. (I guess this refers to the ways of bushido, and how they have to die staring towards the enemy).

i LOVE kirby air ride. absolutely love EVERYTHING about it. I love all the stars. I love all the events. I love city trial. I love all the dumb whack stuff that can happen during it. it's easily the game I spent the most time on as a teen. I'm extremely surprised this has not been remade yet, I have heard of kirby airride netplay but still haven't checked it out though I've been meaning to for a while. SO many fun little secrets in this game and it was FUN.

Totally agree, it was my favorite GameCube game. My sister and I filled out the checkbox grid for every mode and played City Trial with each other endlessly.
Anonymous 07/15/20 (Wed) 00:58:16 No. 8146 >>8136 >What is your favorite black and white film
I haven't seen many monochrome movies, but I'm a sucker for slapstick. I think "The General" by Buster Keaton is one of my favorites mainly because of the train scenes in it. Obv I could have probably chosen something else that's equally as good like "Safety last!" with his clock stunt, but I'm gonna keep it simple.
What is your favorite theme style on here?

I don't know if it's my favourite thing, but I really love hokora which are those little shrines you get by the road. Spirits use them for shelter, so travellers can pray there for safe passage and stuff.
I really like Dr Strangelove. I've only seen it once. I'm waiting until they show it at a cinema again, literally only because of that one shot of the pretty lady on the phone… you know the one.
Eh I mostly use miku just because it's the default and the colour is nice, sometimes if I'm feeling extra cool I switch to ferus.

Who is your favorite fictional villain, sushi?
Anonymous 07/15/20 (Wed) 23:45:24 No. 8169
Moridin from Wheel of Time. I liked how the author had the audacity to just outright make him legitimately right, and not just in the 'Thanos was right' way where there was an obvious third route but where Moridin was legitimately outright correct in his worldview from an objective and logical perspective. If not him then maybe Demandred from the same series (sorry Lanfear, but Sanderson ruined your arc) because he has all the trappings of a hero of another story and yet manages to be a villain due to jealousy: he's so determined to step out of the shadow of the MC and so obsessed with being not just 'the worse Lews Therin' that he doesn't even realize he long since has surpassed him.
Reversed: Who is your favorite """non-MC""" hero in fiction, sushi?

What's your favourite pastime?
Anonymous 07/25/20 (Sat) 19:59:20 No. 8272
By that I guess you mean gothic? Gothic is really nice, yeah. Wonder why it's called gothic though, since the actual Ostrogothic kingdom never really built anything like that.
My favorite pastime, if it can be called that, would probably be cooking. It's not really a pastime because you can't reasonably cook all the time since you can't just keep eating but I really enjoy cooking and I don't know why. I'm also trying to get into gardening.

What is your favourite game that can be played with a traditional deck of cards?
Anonymous 08/05/20 (Wed) 05:02:20 No. 8439
It's been a long time since I've played it, but there was a card game I enjoyed a lot as a kid which was either called "spoons" or "spit," depending on who you asked. I don't remember exactly how it was played, but it involved several piles of cards in between the players, and it was played in real time, which I liked better than the turn-based nature of most card games.

What is your favourite cafe shop?
Anonymous 08/07/20 (Fri) 04:40:56 No. 8470 >>8448
cafe called "bar italia" in london. propper italian run cafe that's been there forever, the atmosphere is great. Also it's open almost 24 hours, which is great because there's a somewhat famous jazz club just across the street. They also sell pizza but it's kind of over priced for what it is, would recommend sticking with coffee.
