My favorite dream was about a dolphin people village. (They were all dolphins, but they were like people.) They lived above water on the shore in huts, and I distinctly remember it was a coastal village reliant on exporting fish. I remember meeting a nice old couple who had been fishing there for a long time. They lived in a hut on a pier. They had a way of fishing in which they would jump into the sea from a pier, snatch fish using their mouth (rostrum?,) and drag them back onto land. I woke up very confused after seeing that.

Not so much anymore, but I used to be really secretive about my passion for VOCALOID/voice synthesizer music. A lot of people assume from the jump that it isn't "real music" because they hear a synthesized voice, but I came to realize that was ridiculous! A voice synthesizer is an instrument you need to learn to play and tune. A community of enthusiasts creating music just for the sake of creating music is as real as it gets. I'm sure a lot of my attachment is owed to my growing up with the scene and the internet, but these days I maintain that it's a genre worth exploring. At least, whenever I have the confidence.

I wish I could pinpoint it properly.

I think I was on the Muroran line, northbound. It was a local train, like 1 or maybe 2 cars. It travelled slowly. It was summer, it was warm, the windows were open, there was a gentle breeze coming through, we rolled at a placid pace. The electric fans in the corners of the car sat idle and dusty.

At one stop, a lady and like 4 or 5 little kids came aboard, maybe kindergarten age. At the next stop, a big huge fluffy bumble bee came aboard too, in through the window. I was TERRIFIED. It landed on the arm of the lady, one of the kids noticed and said something gently, and then a little girl much braver than me softly scooped up the bee, clambered on a seat, and reached up to the window to let the bee out.

The interior was cream and maroon i think.

That's my favourite train, sushi, that one in my memory. Maybe it was a KiHa 40 series.

What's your favorite timekeeping device?

 No.11601

File: 1623818218324.png (389.18 KB, 500x514, ClipboardImage.png)

>>11588
The one I use the most is my phone. I've configured my schedule neatly so that I am informed of what I am supposed to be doing at any time. So it is not just a timekeeping device.

But I suppose there's a difference between the one I use the most and the my favorite one.

I am enamored with sun dials. They appear often in my daydreams.

I ran a tabletop roleplaying game some years ago; there was a sundial in a gloomy forest there. It was counting down, so to say, and had a crack showing a beating heart within it. My players were eager to see what it was counting down towards. They supposed it was some catastrophe they had to avoid. In truth, it was counting down to the rebirth of the forest.

So, yeah, my favorite timekeeping devices are sun dials. I'm not sure why I spun around so much to give that answer.

What's was/is your favorite year of your life, sushi?

File: 1623888856708.png (848.83 KB, 1319x1324, arupo.png)

>>11601
I don't have one yet. I dunno, hopefully this isn't a bad answer, but I feel like I haven't lived enough yet to make a solid call. I've fought hard to get to a place with my health where I can be happy, or at least not scared, with moving through life and, just, existing. I worry that if I linger too much on past successes, I'll loose a bit of that progress.

I want to have a favorite year eventually.

Harry Potter. I know it's probably normalshit, but it was comfy, and I gotta admit I did fall into the craze. I had read other books back then but I hardly remember any of it. Admittedly, I was too young to read those books critically, too, and most of the time I probably didn't even understand all I was reading because they were (for me) real page turners and I wanted to get through quickly, lol.
20 years after, I actually started reading the books in chinese, as a learning excercise. I have just started, and at a sluggish pace, but the narrative isn't half bad, for a children's book.
