This was one of my favourite threads on the old sushichan. Post comfortable audiovisual experiences utilising the WebMatroska container format.
The audio is: Boards of Canada - roygbiv
The video is of San Francisco in 1905.https://www.loc.gov/item/00694408/
Audio: Feverkin - Sinking ft. Nori
Video is from this very weird, experimental and trippy video:https://vimeo.com/17204514
So, who's up late and feeling comfy tonight?
Satie is pretty ambient, but I wouldn't describe most of his work as comfy. Je te Veux is an exception to this, but his other work is excellent too.
>>488>but I wouldn't describe most of his work as comfy
I'd say his most famous works like the gymnopaedies are very dark and brooding in tone. Even his lighter works seem more thoughtful and pensive than light and fluffy. They're very relaxing and ambient, but personally, they make me want to think deeply about my problems or life in general. That's my personal experience, but I definitely really enjoy Satie.
Works like gnossiene 5 and je te veux are still beautiful, dont get me wrong.https://youtu.be/VqTe1-7JATA
Completely agree. On the album of his works that I have, there's a mix of stuff that's great at cheering me up (especially that Le Picadilly number I posted) and the stuff for late nights and dark rooms.

Just found this in my webm folder. Ahhh….>>1047
Yes, I think so. I don't know where I got it from, but here's the original picture.
4 years ago today I discovered Nakinyko, life has never been the same since.
Hey, I was looking for this.
I was ripping my old Beatles CDs, and I found this lovely song on 'Revolver'. Perfectly fitting for my idea of comfiness. When I'm in the middle of a dream / stay in bed / float upstream…

Yo, this is really dope, thx for posting this! I don't think I ever would have got into this kind of music if I hadn't seen this.
Also, here are a few of my favoriteshttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t0MGRxm4VLMhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WTN3HrOAjdAhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sU8n3NVmm1Q
is that brittany venti?
nvm found it : Birocratic - Soft Focus
This tune has been spooking around my mind for so long. Finally I found out the name by searching up the lyrics: Ningyou Hime by glorious Rie Tanaka. At first I thought this was Hello Little Girl by Yoko Hikasa.
I know that street!
Boston really is a cozy city.
Do you happen to know the song, sushi?
>>480>tfw this very post introduced me to Satie's work
thank you very much sushi
Any idea what the song is?
I find those comfy too. Do you have more?
It comes naturally, just switch hobby if it's unenjoyable.
Every time I hear Satie, I start thinking about those news segments and documentaries that feature lonely or troubled adults. In a comfy way.
I'm sure a lot of such TV segments have used Satie for background music.
