Horse nettle is in full bloom right now.
Also pictured are the remains of the daffodils, which are done for the year, and the beginnings of the zinnias, which will take over as we get into summer.

I make terrariums
I have too many plants to list here but some of my favorites for terrariums are Selaginellas, Pepperomias, and Hemianthus Callitrichoides which is usually used in aquariums but I found it makes really nice groundcover in humid conditions as well.

How do you deal with keeping your plant from dying of dehydration if you're away a few weeks?
I don't really have the option of asking anybody to come water them, so my last plant perished that way. I expect to be away next summer again and I don't want to lose my new plant.

There are these terracotta things you can fill with water and put into the earth, but they seem to be much too large for just a regular house plant.

I'm thinking though, maybe it'd work to just replant in a terracotta pot, and then put that pot inside a larger container that you fill with water? Or would it get too much wet and rot?

watering it well and then putting it in a cloche like pic related or something to keep humidity in might work but I'm not a plant expert. I have a couple small plants in a plastic display case cuz they like it humid and I have to water them like 1/10 as often as the rest of mine that just sit on a shelf
