Good job sushi! I really think that for people out on there own, picking up a couple of spices can improve quality of life imensely. Especially of your on a budget. Eating the exact same thing every day is fine if it's your favorite, but if it's just the cheapest thing You could put together it gets boring really quick. Here are some of my favorites:
-Salt (though ramen really doesn't need any more sodium, it's good for other stuff)
-black pepper
-crushed red pepper or chili flakes/powder
-onion powder
-garlic powder
-basil
-cinnamon and nutmeg (not so sure about on ramen, though I've never tried)
Spice is a really great way to get a lot of flavor out of a bland dish. And eating boring food is really bad for your sanity, especially frequently.

I never really understood why something so useless was so valuable but I suppose it makes sense.

I really love chili oil noodles, so easy to make and so yummy! Need to go out and buy the right noodles though, last time I opened the pack and it got moldy.

Noodles used to be my go-to, especially when I was low on money.
I've since moved on to bean soup for my poverty diet, but every so often I get the urge to buy a pack of noodles and go nuts on them.

If you want to add some flavor to your broth without making it feel heavy, I suggest making some miso carrots and letting it sit for a weeks/months. Nowadays I put 3 pieces of carrots in my soup and it gives me a little crunch and a huge boost of flavor.
Just a tip. -w-

Picked up some new varieties to nom on, pic related. Was pleasantly surprised to notice that the ones with waifus on the packs are actually vegetarian, the shrimp/fish flavour is artificial. Lucky I didn't just take it for granted by the front text and stuff shown on the package.
A real simple and fast way to spruce up cheap somewhat bland/boring noodles is some lao gan ma chili oil (I think the one with peanuts in it is the best), just a teaspoon on top and mix in. Makes them almost comparable to luxury packets, though you don't get the variety of flavour.
>>906My favourite noodles ever are the Nongshim Seafood Ramyun. Thicc chewy noodles and the broth is on point. Just spicy enough. Great with steamed cabbage. Hope I can find something vegetarian as good, the other Nongshim stuff I've had (kimchi and veggie) while good doesn't quite meet the same standard.

>>906Usually can't justify buying the Nissin Soba cup noodles given how expensive they are nowadays, but recently found out that they do sell them in packets at half the price.
Only tried the "classic" and "chili" variants cause they're the only vegetarian ones, preferred the chili. They're not really hot just a bit more flavourful. Super delicious with some fried mushrooms, onion and tofu.
If you follow the package instructions they turn out a bit soggy though, much better with 200ml water instead of the 250ml advised.
