I'd heard that Comic LO covers were good, but I didn't know they were this
good, so I'm going to post some on /kawaii/.
I also found this blogpost analysing Takamichi's art:https://analoghousou.com/2011/03/10/a-visionary-genius-takes-us-into-the-world-of-adolescent-girls-takamichi-love-works/>All of these elements–the posing, the expressions, the environments–come together to create a very distinctive atmosphere that permeates throughout Takamichi Love Works. It’s an atmosphere that puts you right back in the midst of youth; a celebration of the lives of young, active, and attractive girls.
Takamichi is such a good artist. I have a couple of his art books, love them.
Despite the actual subject matter of these magazines being repellent to me, these illustrations are nice.
Thank you LO, I was confused as to the nationality of all this plant life, but you've cleared it all up
I know it's just the spine but it really looks like there's a second, smaller version of the same girl sitting to her right lol
I remember saving one of these for reference years ago. I posted it in a thread and someone got really upset with me and told me never to post it again. I had no idea about what the magazines actually contained.
Really is weird how drawings make some people so angry isn't it
He's an incredible artist. One of my absolute favourites. I've ranted about him enough myself, but seeing that blogpost made me happy. Don't forget he's published a few manga. I particularly liked Ritou no Umi. Yuru Yuru was good, too. Probably a little closer to his usual style.
Oh wow, I read Yuru Yuru years ago and totally forgot about it. I don't think I knew the artist at the time, neat.
I love this one
