I think I read KS on a 1920x1200 monitor and it was fine for me back then. But I was also very used to the usual 1024x768 and 800x600 resolutions for old VNs.

These days on a 1440p monitor, the classic resolutions are too small for me so I've been trying ShaderGlass to scale things in real time. It's not perfect, but it works okay. I don't really do VNs much anymore anyway.

No upcoming game whatsoever interests me besides… Maybe something I touched in the Steam Next Festival.
There are just too many games out there to actually focus on new releases. I only go for the ones that end up being big like Pizza Tower nowadays.
Right now I got enough emulating old games on my 3DS. And even modern games just seem all the same so I end up emulating them on my desktop PC anyway.
